Leslie Klane holds a long-standing career within the arena of non-profit leadership and fundraising. She was the Vice President of Corporate Relations and Special Events for the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado for nearly 15 years. During her career with the Alzheimer’s Association, Leslie’s professional successes led her to accept numerous invitations to work with the National Alzheimer’s Association in Chicago, design national fundraising initiatives, and to be a guest speaker at the Association’s National Walk to End Alzheimer’s Annual Conference.
Later, Leslie accepted the position as the Chief Executive Officer and President for the Greater Golden Chamber of Commerce. As the CEO for the Golden Chamber for over three years, Leslie led the Chamber’s special events – including the Annual Awards Dinner, Golden Fine Arts Festival, and Holiday Parades – with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for those who worked, lived in, and visited Golden.
Leslie’s passion for the arts, culture, sciences, and education led her to accept a two-year appointment as a Council Member for the Jefferson County Cultural Council, where she soon was appointed as the Chair.
With Leslie’s term as a Council Member ending, she accepted the position as the new Executive Director of Drennen’s Dreams Foundation, a national drowning prevention and water safety foundation.
“Having had a friend whose son had tragically died from drowning, the mission of this organization speaks to me on a variety of levels,” said Leslie. “I am honored to represent Drennen’s Dreams Foundation.”
