When Drennen and my daughter,Darby were in grade school, they did a science fair project together. The project required that the kids spend time together working on it-so Drennen cane to our house a couple of times so they could “work”-and make googly eyes at each other! Drennen was full of energy and directions! What I remember the most from that is how kind he was to my younger son-having little brothers of his own, he was not bothered by Mitchell being around-there was even a wrestling match which was a little out of my wheelhouse! The boys went at it hard and I thought there would be tears or anger but when they were done, Drennen helped Mitchell up, put his arm around him and said, “that was good”.
