Here’s is how to use the Water Watcher Cards to help prevent drowning:

• When there are two or more adults present, one adult will assume responsibility to always watch the kids. Being a Water Watcher means that this adult will not allow herself/himself to be distracted away from the kids. The adults agree on a specific amount of time (usually 15–30-minute increments) when the next adult will become the Water Watcher and take on the responsibility of watching the kids.
• The Water Watcher card is always worn by the designated adult who is responsible for supervision of the kids. Drennen’s Dreams Foundation will be producing these cards in a manner that can easily be attached to a lanyard or an elastic wristband.
