Memory of Drennen
When Drennen and my daughter,Darby were in grade school, they did a science fair project together. The project required that the kids spend time together working on it-so Drennen cane to our house a couple of times so they could “work”-and make googly eyes at each other! Drennen was full of energy and directions! What I remember the most from that is how kind he was to my younger son-having little brothers of his own, he was not bothered by Mitchell being around-there was even a wrestling match which was a little out of my wheelhouse! The boys went at it hard and I thought there would be tears or anger but when they were done, Drennen helped Mitchell up, put his arm around him and said, “that was good”....

Love
It is almost unthinkable that it has been 10 years. I still think about Drennen so often, all his fun silly energetic personality and sparky spirit. I love love love coming across photos of him and all the kids in the neighborhood, not gonna lie my favorites are the ones with my boys 🙂 I often think about him as an older Drennen and think what he would be doing and how he would be making an impact on the world....

Drennen’s Legacy
Everyone knows the basic quote "you won't remember what they said but you'll always remember how they made you feel". Drennen surely captured this for me and boy can I tell you, that guy made me feel loved, heard, and supported....
